Reconsideration & Process Grievance

Reconsideration

Once a consensus decision is reached, it shall stand as the community's decision unless and until a new consensus decision replaces the old one after a call for reconsideration. Upon the request of five members, at any general meeting following the meeting at which it was adopted, a decision may be reopened. If a decision is set for reconsideration and a new proposal put forth, the group may reconsider the matter in one meeting or more, as long as the new proposal has been circulated sufficiently in advance of the general meeting so that all members have the opportunity for input before a vote on the new proposal.

Process Grievance Procedure

Grievances about ongoing decision-making processes may be brought to the Process Committee. The Process Committee will pursue avenues of mediation and will shepherd the resolution of the issue, and in doing so, if appropriate, will bring the issue to the General Meeting for further work.
